Edna and Len were very close friends with my parents despite living many miles apart and were always Aunty and Uncle all my life. When I was small we always visited together every year and happy times were enjoyed. I particularly remember one occasion after I was grown up, that it was arranged for Len and Edna to come down to my parents in Kent - the 2 men went on a WW2 commemorative coach trip to the Normandy beaches in France for a few days (which the ladies did not want to do), so while the men were away, we ladies had some happy times - I drove and we went out and about having lots of laughter and fun!
